This is an amazing Sedum Morganianum 'Donkey Tail' succulent . It has been rooted, established, and comes ready to plant. This wonderful plant is also known as Sedum 'Burrito'. It is a succulent plant of the genus Sedum in the family Crassulaceae. These beauties are native to southern Mexico and Honduras. The Donkey Tail grows prostrate, so it is best planted as a hanging basket plant. They prefer indirect sunlight but love to get about 6 hours of sun a day. These plants are easy to grow and are great for beginners. They are extremely drought tolerant and will need soil with excellent drainage. Containers with large drainage holes should be used as well as a well-draining cactus and succulent soil with 50% to 75% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite. They will only need water once a week in the hottest parts of summer and about once a month in the wintertime. The soil should be allowed to dry out fully between waterings. It is recommended to use ceramic pots with these succulents. Ceramic pots have a permeability that is ideal for succulents. Clay pots will lose water quickly and lead to dry plants. Plastic pots will retain water for too long because the permeability is poor. Make sure there is somewhere for the water to drain. They prefer a warm, growing environment. The ideal temperature for growth is between 50-89°F. When the temperature is lower than 39°F or higher than 91°F, they will enter dormancy and stop growing. If the temperature drops to 32°F, they will be frostbitten or freeze to death. When the temperature is below 41°F, it is best to move them indoors to a sunny place. These will grow well in average household humidity levels when grown indoors. Setting your home to a normal household humidity is good for this plant.
