This is a beautiful Plectranthus neochilus Lobster Flower succulent starter plant. It has been rooted and established. Plectranthus Neochilus Lobster Flower. These beauties can be found growing naturally in dry thicketet areas, under trees, in rocky woodland, and among rocks in the grasslands of the Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, Mpumalanga, Gauteng, Limpopo and North West provinces in South Africa. It is also found in Eswatini, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Namibia, and Botswana. This amazing plant is a favorite among plant lovers and collectors because it is a hardy, versatile, aromatic herbaceous perennial groundcover that is gorgeous even when the plant is not in flowering. It has fantastic deep blue and purple flowers that bloom from spring until autumn. The Plectranthus neochilus is easy to take care of and is very drought tolerant. They reach a mature height of up to 3 feet and have a similar spread. They enjoy an environment of direct sunlight. These plants love a combination of peat moss, perlite, and sand with a slightly acidic pH level of 6.0 to 6.5. This soil mixture provides good drainage and aeration. It does not have to be watered until the soil is nearly dry. It is best not to use a substrate like vermiculite because it can easily harm the root part of this plant. It prefers a warm climate and will grow well outdoors year round in USDA zones 8b-11. It does best when the temperature is between 65°F and 90°F and the overwintering temperature cannot be less than 41°F. These amazing succulents are very easy to grow and maintain.
