This is a beautiful Sedum spurium "Dragon's Blood" succulent starter plant. It has been rooted and established. Dragon’s Blood is a low-growing, sprawling, perennial succulent that can grow up to 18 inches wide, which makes it perfect for ground cover. The one inch long leaves grow thick and flat leaves that are one inch long with the tips of the leaves being a purple-red color. In autumn, the keaves will change and become completely purple-red in color. These beauties have small, star-shaped flower clusters that range in color from pink to red and will bloom in late summer to early autumn. They are low growing and will only reach heights of 6 inches but will spread up to 18 inches wide. They enjoy an environment of full sunlight or partial shade. These plants love a combination of peat moss, perlite, and sand with a slightly acidic pH level of 6.0 to 6.5. This soil mixture provides good drainage and aeration. It does not have to be watered until the soil is nearly dry. It will grow well outdoors year round in USDA zones 3-10 and will do very well in most of the United States.
